Self Catering Cottages Dartmoor
A cleverly converted barn that has all modern conveniences but still retains its original character. The surrounding views are spectacular and the enclosed garden perfect to relax in. Our Labrador dog felt at home straight away. She enjoyed an early morning walk around the meadow and swimming in the local rivers. Highly recommend.
Monk stone Cottage was the perfect little getaway for a post Christmas escape. Cosy, warm, quiet and well equipped, it was just what I needed. In a good location too, easy to get find and get out and about a little. I particularly liked the walk up the church. I would definitely recommend staying here, and would love to come back when I can escape again!
Excellent accommodation, cream tea particularly welcome after a long trip. Relaxing, enjoyable holiday for us all. Thank you both.

A white Christmas on Dartmoor, with Monkstone Cottage to return to after a day in the sun and snow. Didn't dare hope for such good conditions and cosy accommodation. Many thanks to Roger and Jeanette for their hospitality.
Another refreshing much needed break. Bracing daily walks to recharge batteries and relaxing log fired cosy evenings to unwind. As best a piece of Heaven as you could wish for.
Such a beautiful cottage, idyllic place ... perfect setting for a relaxed getaway ... we're torn between telling everyone we know or keeping our secret for as long as possible ... a hidden gem ... we came to explore Devon but spent our mornings listening to the silence.
